Sakos. Orthodox. Late 16th century. Vilnius, Lithuania. Made of red velvet. The edges are outlined with tassels made of metallic threads, and an ornamental band is embroidered with gold and silver-colored metallic threads. The sleeves and lining are embroidered with the same patterns, but narrower—around the neck. In the center of the chest, two stars are embroidered, a cross, angels below, and further down, embroidered gates of heaven, with golden houses on one side and a painting on the other. Inscriptions: "DVE," "NEBEZNAJA," "DOM ZLATI." The edges on the back are embroidered with the same patterns. In the center—two small shrines, Adam and Eve, and others. Inscriptions in Old Slavic. The lining is made of pink satin.
