Study of the artist from the Spreewald, probably from the time before her relocation to Berlin in 1905, still without the name addition “Lübben” in forms of Art Nouveau. The artist captivated smoke and colors more than the presentation of details of the work. Rare depiction of this preparatory handicraft work, which is important for the construction of Spreewaldkähnen. One of the few natural studies of the artist, not dated, but which proves that you worked in color right before nature. Given the complete lack of drawings and documents, these studies are of particular importance. Acquired from private ownership in Egeln for the Märkische Museum in 1952.
