The dress has a low neckline and short sleeves edged with lace which is highlighted in white metal. The sides of the top of the chair (gilt highlights) is visible behind her, She sits in front of a painted backdrop of clouds and sky. Her hair is in ringlets. Her left hand rests on her lap. Hand coloured, gold and silver highlights.
