The medal is round. In the right field a national apple and in the left field three mountains with flames. On the outside an open laurel wreath. Inscription: Uppsala and Westmanland Defence Area. Inscription on the outside: Fo 47. Sala 1939-1942, Uppsala 1942-1982, Enköping 1982-2000. Red ribbon with two yellow stripes on the middle. The medal is kept in ash along with a miniature medal and a trailer buckle.
